I don't usually write in megafandoms, so my list is actually fairly indicative of my usual year-in-fic. I suppose one could do a list by comment threads rather than kudos, to measure deeper engagement? But in any case none of these rubrics can measure quality of writing, nor are they meant to.
ETA: Even within TC, the year I wrote The Thousandth Man emphatically does not have it at the top, despite it being the best thing I've written in the fandom.
