TC Crossovers.
So, I re-read The Charioteer. And got one of the girls here to read it. She's smitten. As one is. We've been, at random, saying things like, "and the 'flash boys' thing", and continuing for the next hour or so about the R.R. Lanyon.
And I'm thinking about TC cross-overs. Maurice, yes, certainly, and there's a story I must write someday about Maurice (and Alec) meeting the grown-up Lanyon and his friend, as Maurice puts it. I think there's a lot of potential in Maurice Hall being the captain of the Icelandic trawler Ralph works on, so, yeah, that.
But also, oh, Pearl Harbour, because Rafe (Affleck's character), is in England in the blitz, working with the RAF, and could easily have met Bim, who would certainly think it hugely amusing to introduce him, if not to Lanyon, at least to Alec. Or even Lanyon, really, simply for the hilarity of the names.
And, lastly, since Lanyon dates only women who are bitches, is there any chance he might have dated Susan Pevensie? Or is she too young for him? I don't know Narnia well enough to remember the dates.
