I've never done any functional sewing beyond, like, buttons. I should try, but I'm afraid I'd get maybe as far as cutting stuff up and then get bored. My nana used to make dresses and all, and we've still got his ancient Singer back home, in tolerably good repair.

I too would much rather lie around and read, hence the decade-long gap the moment school stopped insisting on it.
