Magicians 4.08 (spoilers sweetie)
So I uh, am mostly just grateful re: the Poppy arc?
I have so very many feelings about Fen, who is just genuinely such a good and nice person, as long as you don't forget she's constantly and multiply armed, and good & nice aren't soft or stupid. I'm glad she got to learn her destiny, by asserting that it was hers that she wanted to learn, and tbh I hope she becomes High King or Elected Leader or however they're naming it this week. I'm also hoping it happens without violence, but uh, Margo. (I don't mean Margo's strong enough (lol at the knife-stuff) but she's just relentless.
I suppose I should have feelings about Alice, but I just don't like her and am uninvested in her solo storyline.
Julia and Kady! okay fine, also Penny 23, but honestly I've missed watching these two together even/at least briefly. I want Kady to find out Penny-40 is a Librarian now, but also I don't?
No Monster/El this week except for like, a minute? less! at the start, which is interesting.
But coming back to the A Plot and the ab-fab of a dragon having a secretary, love loved Kady and Julia's drift-compatibility, nevermind it's been A While since they hung out, and I think the first tactical usage of Julia's invulnerability. I just I love them so much, and need Fen and Kady to be friends asap. Have they ever even shared a scene?
And then there's Poppy Kline. Perfectly in-character nuttiness with the dragon-egg, and also I'm very grateful and relieved it's not actually Q's and we don't have to watch him figuring out the nightmare that's going to be, and also also that she didn't drug him on-purpose? OTOH no acknowledgement of what she did to Q, except Penny/Julia/Kady's general horror, which. I will take general horror and acceptance that Poppy is extremely shady.
