We have bird flu in the city, and I should really stop eating out anyway. So I've decided to cook at least one meal every day (a LOT of one-pot meals coming up) and post a couple of photos and an abbreviated recipe, just to see how long this lasts.
Today I made potatoes with cumin seeds and tomatoes and some garlic powder.

Today I made potatoes with cumin seeds and tomatoes and some garlic powder.
Recipe:
- Heat oil (I used sunflower) in a pan.
- Scatter cumin seeds when heated, and saute.
- Add tomatoes; lower heat, put the lid on.
- When tomatoes are soft and beginning to be reduced, add potatoes.
- Saute potatoes.
- Add water when potatoes are beginning to be fork-tender.
- Add salt and whatever spices (I put in garlic powder), let cook.
- Turn off the heat when potatoes are cooked and the sauce has reduced.
