The King my father looks upon me with a different eye than that he bears when he gazes upon my sister.
The King my father yet favours me, for I am his son.
The King my father has had built for me my own court.
The King my father decrees that there I shall live alone, as befits a prince.
The King my father calls me his best soldier and draws from me an oath to protect and serve his kingdom and his rule.
The King my father puts his hand in mine and leads me to my new home.

This is beautiful! Especially this "The King my father". Makes it sound like... like a poem or like a religious chant. And a bit like he's trying to convince himself.
And I almost cried when he believed the labyrinth was something good.
Thanks so much for this, sweetie, I love it!

That's so nice of you! Well... my favorite hero is Ulysses, I'm afraid. Someone quite well-known but he was one of the few heroes who was smart, not only strong. Soo... Ulysses POV, on the island of Kalypso, trying to leave for Ithaka but standing in his own way?
