For [ profile] schribaere, who asked for it, here, a drabble about Odysseus. Thanks, I re-read a lot of the Odyssey, and Tennyson's 'Ullyses' for this, so glad to have the excuse. Hope you like it.

I cannot rest from travel... )

Patti, you are to blame. Know this.

Because only two of you asked for anything, here, I've made my own list *is disappointed in f-list*

mah topics, let me show you them )

Anyway, expect at the rate of one each day, not yet sure as to which when.

And now I venture off to write an exam. Ciao, all

I blame [ profile] ceredwensirius, who sicced this bunny at me. I don't think she cares, much, about the blame.

Title: Philos.
Pairings: James/Sirius/Remus.

In other news, I refused to lend my (tattered, deeply-loved) copy of PoA to one of IS' friends, so she's terribly not-happy with me right now.
toujours_nigel: (omgewwww)
My other OT3 in this fandom (interesting that they both involve Sirius as the outer point). Incidentally, Richard Crashaw has not one but two poems about St. Teresa. *face-palm*

[ profile] fireshowers and I and Zephyrus have been tooling around about an online magazine for a bit. It's going to be South-Asian and diaspora youth literary and dscussions thereof, and we were planning to start in May, but of course that's not happening, what with exams and setting up a website and that, so we'll start in July. [ profile] theotherrimi is also involved, as are two others I know marginally and so haven't given nicknames to, as yet. If we'd started in May, we'd have done Queer Issues in June, but that's shot, and it'll be run next June.

Anyhoo, that is all fairly pretentious prologue. As June is Queer Month, (unless I'm hideousy wrong, if so, kill me now before I have to turn in my lgbtqi badge, darlings) I want to write 30 drabbles, one each day, either on a (slash, of course) pairing, or a lgbtqi(howevermanymorelettersthereare) person. Sooo, prompts, loves?

Anne Finch bores me. Have some fiction.

Title: Good Boy
Characters: Sirius, James, Lily.
Pairings: OT3, but nothing sexual, really.
Warnings: Canonical character death
Rating: G-PG
Summary: A dog and his boy.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but my words. )

Soooo, instead of studying the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles like a good kid, I've been hunting up [ profile] minisinoo 's stuff, and I finaly read her Cedric/Hermione Finding Himself. It's brilliant, and you should go read it, and I'm not gonna spoil it, but there's Beltane in it, which I'm a bit interested in (very marginally, but still) and I've got another Beltane-ish ficlet here. Anyway, so I thought about it, and the most likely HP couple for Beltane seemed, well, you'll see. Long and short of it is, I wrote a ficlet, and

it is here )

[personal profile] toujours_nigel : i am deeply bored and filled with a (scaring) desire to write het that isn't (even vaguely) incestuous or (at all) non-con but i can't find a pair i like well enough

[ profile] dearlyderanged : hoom. No HP?

[personal profile] toujours_nigel : nobody i like. all the Blacks are incesty. Lily/James i shrink at, somehow. Remus/Tonks, in my head, is very gender-fluid. inter-gen is bad. greek myths, well, incesty. i could write Arthur/Guinevere. hmmmm.

[ profile] dearlyderanged : Hee. do so.

so i did )

I should have been studying Beowulf, but eh. I also need more Arthurian icons.

For [ profile] noneedofcrepe, who asked, here, for Immediate Black Family. The Birds and Bees Talk.

“You know Bellatrix has had a miscarriage?”

“No. Is she going to be alright?”

“Perfectly. But that isn’t what I wanted to talk about. Do you know how she got with child?”

“No, Father.”

“When a man inserts his penis into a woman’s vagina…”

“And ejaculates inside her… you do know about ejaculation?”

“Ask Sirius."
"Yes, Father."

"When a man ejaculates inside a woman’s vagina, his sperm, on occasion, mixes with her ova and thus an embryo is created which the woman carries for nine months, before birthing a child.”

“Yes, Father.”

For [ profile] schribaere , who has had a previous prompt unheeded (no, honey, I didn't write that, everything I tried was crappy), and asked for minotaurus, childhood, here.

The King my father looks upon me with a different eye than that he bears when he gazes upon my sister.

The King my father yet favours me, for I am his son.

The King my father has had built for me my own court.

The King my father decrees that there I shall live alone, as befits a prince.

The King my father calls me his best soldier and draws from me an oath to protect and serve his kingdom and his rule.

The King my father puts his hand in mine and leads me to my new home.

So, gakked off [ profile] noneedofcrepe . The first five people to comment with prompts will get drabbles (not sketches, because, haha, I can't fucking draw). Stream of consciousness I really can't write, as [ profile] schribaere knows now. Sorry, dear, but I really really really can't. But, everything else is good, and y'all know my fandoms.

ETA: The five prompts are:

[ profile] ceredwensirius : Sirius. Any Age. Clueless.

[ profile] schribaere : Minotaurus, childhood.

[ profile] noneedofcrepe : Immediate Black Family. The Birds and Bees Talk.

[ profile] fawatson : The Persian Boy. Ptolemy and Bagoas, Parallels in love and commitment to Alexander.

Okay, so I just finished reading The Mists of Avalon (thank you[info]riaki ) and it is a most splendiferous book. And I loved Morgaine, and sorta Morgause and Mordred, and Galahad/Lancelet. Gwydion/Arthur is passable if rather weak-chinned. Gwenhwyfar. I almost stopped reading because of how much she was annoying me.

have some fiction in place of a coherent review. Spoilery, and I own nothing. )
