Oh this was so beautiful!Such nice dialogue you have there and I like this tension between them. Hephaistion's stubborness and Alexander's rigidness is perfect. I think that you treated the known material from both books wonderfully and I am very happy that it worked out well in the end for them, although you are only hinting at it and I may be wrong,being in the gutter all time as yo very well know;): He pulls grass from the golden curls before they ride back to Ekbatana
I have written a similar Renault inspired fic with Alex and Heph riding in the uplands of Ekabtana myself and they are in a similar phycological situation(stubborn H but bound to break anytime and already broken A), but I am not suggestive at all and I don't have that much dialogue.I was inspired by Bagoas saying the after a ride of A and H, Alexander's face was glowing afterwards;) I am truly intimidated after reading this sweet and extremely well written fic of yours and I think I 'll never post mine, unless my writing gets better asap or I make major changes to it. I have been working on it for more than a month now --whenever I have the time to do so, but I never seem to like it when I read it...
