2 days bad temper + 2 days back ache + 4 days of filia_noctis/bee_muse being hospitalised with a bad bout of flu exacerbated by heat exhaustion.

1. What I like about them: The bleak strength to the man.
2. What I dislike about them: The misogyny and classism. Dear Lord the misogyny.
3. An interesting AU for this character: Ralph in the here and now would be excellent.
4. A crossover: Everything! Just off the top of my head Maurice, and Night Watch, and David Blaize; I think it would be wonderfully fun to see him in the Mapp & Lucia world as well, as a grouchy school-boy.
5. Headcanon! Post-War (and he has a Good War), Ralph goes back to the merchant services and stays put.
6. The people I ship romantically with this character: Alec Deacon, Bim Taylor, Andrew Raynes. His in-canon boyfriends increasingly less.
7. My non-romantic OTP for this character: Alec Deacon. In cross-over land, Kay Langrish.
8. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish he hadn't got booted from school but I suspect that was a much needed lesson. I wish he had met, or will meet, Andrew Raynes.

Sorry for the late response. She got let out of hospital on Day 4 and then hung around in the hostel for a week or so. Went home yesterday.

I did read it about five years or so back when I was chomping my way through all the Ancients, but I didn't very much like the double dose of philosophy and politics and hat combined with my indifference to theatre has meant I've never returned to it.
