I’m glad we matched, and I hope you have fun with your assignment. If you’ve already got an idea of what to write, don’t worry if it doesn’t match any of what I’ve got in my optional details or this post.
I am fairly inclusive in my choices, and everything from fluffy gen through screwball comedies and casefic to contemplations and depictions of death and disaster are welcome. I am in no way opposed to graphic depictions of sex and/or violence, but I am also all for saccharine domesticity and romance. I multi-ship in most combinations in the canon requested, but would prefer intergenerational incest to not be part of any story. Alternate Universes are also very very welcome. Lord Peter Wimsey - Dorothy L. Sayers
Gerald Wimsey Viscount St George; Harriet Vane; Mervyn Bunter; Peter Wimsey
I would love to see case-fic, or domestic interludes, or explorations of the dynamics between any two or more of these characters. If you take them into WW II or later, I would prefer if Gerry were alive, but I have also read and loved stories that deal with or assume his death. I am excessively fond of Harriet, and anything about her past present or future would be very gladly received.
A Suitable Boy - Vikram Seth
Firoz Khan; Maan Kapoor; Saeeda Bai
I would love to see childhood or adolescence snippets for Firoz and Maan. I love Saeeda’s dignified management of her life, her hopes for Tasneem, her slightly surprised passion for Maan, so a story exploring any of that would be wonderful. Firoz dealing with the truth of Tasneem’s identity and with Saeeda following the revelation would be lovely, as would any iteration of Firoz/Maan/Saeeda
Lucifer (Comic)
Elaine Belloc; Lucifer Morningstar; Mazikeen; Michael Demiurgos
My familiarity with canon is limited to the solo series that ended in 2006. I would love family fic, domesticity, cosmic shenanigans, awkward parenting, adolescence-while-God, grieving, partings and new beginnings. If Michael is miraculously alive or revived, you’ll get no complaints here. I ship Lucifer with both Mazikeen and Michael and none of the three with Elaine.
Big Eden (2000)
Dean Stewart; Henry Hart; Pike Dexter; Sam Hart
I would love to see post-canon fic of Henry/Pike settling into their relationship. Pre-canon fic, whether of the boys in high-school or any of them as young(er) adults making their way in the world, or of Sam Hart and his relationship with his grandson and his connections with the town he built would be wonderful to see. I read Dean as bi-ace, and an exploration of that would be loved.
