I saw the news earlier today. It seems that he was not seriously injured, which is great. I’m glad for that. When he came out in 2015 I think he was still one of the more high-profile POC who would identify themselves as gay or queer, at least among my classmates, and that always stood with me.

Yeah. Here's hoping he recovers, but it's also so symptomatic of a greater malaise.
