Hephaistion Amyntoros

is someone I have opinions about, and, as it turns out, a fair bit of fanon. Here goes.
- He is the youngest of three by quite a large margin (Chryse is ten and Helike seven years his senior). He actually knows his way around the daily routines of women quite well; braiding hair is just the beginning of it all.
- You do not ever waylay Amyntor when he is busy. He is kinder than most men and far less strict about discipline (and, some say, propriety), but he is a formidable one, nonetheless, and it is not wise to anger him.
- There was a girl, once, whose father worked in their house. Pretty and dark with great doe-eyes. And then he went to the horse-fair.
- He used to fight because someone teased Helike, insulted him, looked wrong at a nephew or niece, bad-mouthed Alexander, he liked fighting. (That he stopped has a lot to do with Ptolemy.)
- He hated Barsine with every bone and drop of blood.
- Persia, no less than Egypt, is strange and exhilarating, but a part of him will always desire Pella and Mieza.
- Rather Bagoas than Barsine. Rather Barsine than Roxana. Stateira he actually finds himself liking.
- This might or might not have something to do with how he feels about Drypetis, child and bride all at once.
- He is tired of it all.
- He wonders at times whether being nothing, being nobody would not have been better. The feeling passes.
