I fell down and scraped my right palm, toes on the right foot, both elbows, and left knee. And then I went to the meeting with my guide for which I was hurrying and talked about work while vaguely dizzy. Have come back and made rice.

Also got a plant from my aunt (and this is even more euphonic than immediately apparent, since I call her Mani and she sent a money-plant) because my birthday is tomorrow.

ETA: Told guide about tumblr and Star Wars fanzines and left the OTW homepage open on his desktop. Streams are crossing excessively.

Did you hit your head? Dizzy needs to be taken seriously. I do hope it proves to be nothing. And wash and disinfect those scrapes!

I didn't hit my head, though my glasses flew a fair distance. I was dizzy only for about an hour after I fell, so just the basic shakiness of having fallen. Unfortunately that was also the hour I was meeting my guide.

And I went to the campus clinic where they cleaned, disinfected, and daubed me with iodine.

Absolutely! I also discussed sexual morality in fanfic with him, which was super odd for me, but not because of how he reacted, just the fact of saying this stuff to someone irl.

I tell you, it's very freeing. I can remember the first time I started talking about fanfic and erotics in public, and it was like a weight rolling off--it felt fantastic. For the first time it was like, screw shame, this culture is fantastic and I enjoy it and I support it and I think others would like it too!

It's like, I said stuff, bracing all the while for a bad reaction, but he just... took it in very happily, and now I have to go see him in two weeks to discuss the ethics of sexual morality and diverse representation in fanwork.
I'm so happy.
