For Day 1 of 31 Flavours, one of my favourite Miranda Hamilton iterations, fierce and empathic and actually allowed to do things on her own, in the modern era. The last bit feels a tad Silver-apologetic and OOC, but Miranda herself is so very very stunning that this is one my comfort re-reads, despite the tags.

Ila is a father to sons who never inherit. Ila’s sons inherit Bahlika from their father. Ila sires no sons.
Ila is Pururavas’ mother, the mother of a race.
