• Ralph & Andrew. Oh boy. This one sort of snuck up on me, really it did. I am actually very finicky about reading them as a couple (I don't like it being during the war, I don't like Laurie being dead or at least Laurie's death as the precipitating thing, I don't like blah blah blah) but as friends or FWBs I will read them in any context, at any age, in any year, in any relationship, in any stage of their friendship. Just gimme these two talking, getting each other, being idiotic, being open, just. Friendship! \o/ Optional wry Alec and/or Laurie much appreciated but not essential. Just gimme the Ralph & Andrew Show.
That said, lilliburlero andnaraht have both been spotted talking about writing Ralph & Andrew religious non-conformism fic, and I am on that like sorshe on hilsa. *g*

• Ralph/Laurie. I like rather a lot of what is out there, but what I'd like is a bitchy, long, complicated story about them a few years on. naraht wrote an excellent duology for two Yuletides running, and there's other stuff too, so that desire's pretty well met. I'd also like school-fic, or more precisely school-fic that I don't have to write. There's something very interesting for me in school romances, esp. ones in as messed-up as Ralph's seems to be. Basically, pre- or post-canon stories are my jam, but I'm not into sugary fluff, so that used to be a problem, which is rapidly becoming less of one. I also prescribe to the All-WW2-Stories-are-the-same-Universe camp, so all of the cross-overs are nice.


•  Alexander/Hephaistion. OTP. OTP of OTPs. The only other thing I ship this hard is Remus/Sirius and that I came to at an impressionable age. I love it especially because it can exist in a polyamorous circle, without denigrating (in canon, fandom is its own monster) other loves or relationships: Hephaistion is just Alexander's person, and that's different. I'd like it there was a story that addressed that, instead of making Heph either jealous or aloof about Alexander's various lovers.

Dear Author,

I'm glad we matched, and I hope you have fun writing this. I'll be delighted to get any story that fits my fandom and character requirements, so feel free to ignore the following and have at it. To an extent this letter is a rehash of various Yuletide letters, but onward anyway. *g*

General: I have nothing much to put in the general (dis)likes category. I like all sorts of fic, ranging from fluffy gen through dark and/or porny. I have no trigger warnings, and would in fact prefer any depictions of violence--a possibility in all three of my nominations--to be dealt with in a realistic manner; I don't freak out easily, so have at it if the story takes you that way; conversely, if you dislike writing sex or violence or violent sex, I'll be as happy with light-hearted banter and shenanigans--also a possibility in all three of my nominations. As to pairings, I'm okay with het, slash, and femslash; I would prefer a lack of parent-child incest, or indeed cross-generational pairings (though given the nature of canon I admit generational lines are at times a trifle hazy).

If any of my fandom-specific notes don't work with the fic in your head, feel free to ignore the following. I'll like whatever you write. I love this fandom, and all the work it produces. That said, I am a little leery of Funeral Games. I do love parts of it very much, including pretty much everything to do with Olympias and Ptolemy, so that should be alright. Other than that, I'm easy for this fandom, and fairly comfortable with all ratings, pairings, gen, het, slash, femslash (Thais/Drypetis? So there for it!), monogamy, polyamory, whathaveyou. However, if you want plot-suggestions, check out this list, with the provision that it's all suggestions and in no way constitutes a demand. *g*
