This is for ceredwensirius who asked for Sirius, any age, clueless, here. Not entirely sure how well this fits in.
“You’d better go into… GRYFFINDOR!”
“No.”
“Get up, Mr. Black.”
“I can’t be a Gryffindor.”
“You are.”
“But, Professor...”
“Get up, Mr. Black.”
“Yes, Professor.”

“What did you say?”
“I… didn’t. I don’t want to be a Gryffindor.”
“Aunt Walburga’s going to kill you.”
“She is not. Sirius, it’s not your fault.”
“But I can’t be a Gryffindor.”
“Sirius. It’s not like you don’t know anybody. See, there’s… James. And… Alice Prewett.”
“But Meda.”
“You’re a Black. And you’re our heir. Don’t whine.”
“Yes, Narcissa.”
“Now go to your table. McGonagall’s looking at us.”
***
“Remus Lupin.”
“Sirius Black.”

And you end with a touch of shippy intrigue (which I am beginning to appreciate in a big way) which is very sweet and yet leaves the reader wanting more.
Very lovely and thank you.

And, yes, the shipping. I originally had James introducing himself, but he'd know James, wouldn't he?
